Equipment rental & portable power
Generators, light towers, distribution panels, trailer and skid wiring — equipment that goes out on rent and comes back needing electrical repair. See generators and light towers.
Businesses, equipment owners, farms and rural properties across Red Deer and Central Alberta. Different customers, but the same underlying problem: equipment that has to run, and an electrical fault standing in the way.
Each of these has its own page covering the equipment involved, the failures that come up most often, and what the work usually involves.
Multi-tenant buildings, retail and office space, warehouses, wash bays and the tenant calls that land on a manager’s desk. Service work, lighting, distribution and tenant changes scheduled around business hours.
Production equipment, motor control gear, three-phase distribution, drives, conveyors, compressors and dust collection — and the downtime cost that decides how the work gets scheduled.
CNC and manual machines, three-phase machine power, overhead cranes and jibs, high-bay lighting over the floor, and used or imported machinery that does not match the supply on the wall.
Hoists and lifts, bay lighting, compressors, tire and wash equipment, welding receptacles, exhaust extraction and service-bay circuits — work that has to happen around vehicles in the bays.
Barns, arenas, grain handling and aeration, augers, waterers, heat and pumps. Long underground runs, dust and moisture, and seasonal peaks around seeding and harvest.
The house-plus-outbuildings reality: detached shops, barns, wells and pumps, yard lights, block heaters, standby generators, and services that have been added to over decades.
Customers who do not fit a single industry label but come up often enough to mention.
Generators, light towers, distribution panels, trailer and skid wiring — equipment that goes out on rent and comes back needing electrical repair. See generators and light towers.
Trades and builders needing an electrician for a defined piece of a job — equipment power, a panel change, temporary power or a problem nobody on site can solve.
Pump and motor circuits, heaters, controllers, vacuum equipment and bay lighting, all living in a wet and corrosive environment. See commercial electrical.
Selected home work — troubleshooting, renovations, panel and lighting upgrades, and garage and shop wiring.
Outbuildings, barn lighting and power, yard lights, well and pressure systems, and rural services that were sized for a different era. See Red Deer County.
Equipment brought in from another site, modified over the years, or built in a shop with no drawings. Tracing it out is part of the job. See electrical controls.
Almost every call comes down to equipment that has to work and does not. The industry changes the vocabulary — an aeration fan, a spindle drive, a wash-bay pump, a hoist — but the diagnostic work is the same: find the actual fault, confirm it by measurement, then fix it. That is what troubleshooting-led service means in practice.
The second thing they share is that the work has to fit around production. Most commercial and industrial jobs get scheduled before or after the equipment runs, or into a planned shutdown. Agricultural work has its own calendar, and on an acreage it is often about getting several small things done in one trip rather than three separate visits.
Grasse Electric is one Red Seal Journeyman with service vehicles, a trailer and lift access. That suits service calls, troubleshooting, equipment power, lighting, controls and small-to-mid projects. Large new-construction builds with a crew on site for months, plant turnarounds, and PLC software programming are outside the scope — and you will be told that up front rather than partway through.
Describe it and you will get a straight answer on whether it suits us.
